Okay, maybe I'll talk to you.

Day of Rest

Since I'm probably not going to get much studying done anyway, I'm going to write this all now.

I woke up again at noon. Tony commented on how noon is now the time I wake up. What, is that a bad thing?

I got out of bed, did my stuff, then went to lunch at the DC. It was pretty gross. Greasy stuff and the likes. I ate with Margot and Steven. Wasn't bad.

After that, we went back to Margot's place and pretended to study. It was actually the closest I have been to studying all term long. Which is sad. After a few hours of nothing, I went home.

I said goodbye to Tony earlier, as he left while I was "studying." It was cool though. He's a great guy. I enjoy him as my roommate.

I practiced my trumpet and played the piano. Man, I was feeling great on the piano. Yesterday not so much, but today, I was really ponding on that thing and sounding great.

I visited Claire on M2 today. She sent me a message saying that she would be sad since she wouldn't see me in Chem lectures anymore. So I went to make her not study. Oh, how well it worked.

At 7:15, I decided to go to the DC to use my last swipe. I was really excited. Too bad I forgot the DC closes at 7 on Fridays. Bah. I've been eating cookies and trail mix.

I did my laundry. Well, I'm doing my laundry.

I went to the ARC with Sarah, but I went to the rock wall instead. I saw Jack and Chris there, which was awesome. They're better than me, but not by much, so they can still learn from me too. It's great.

Chris was raving about this CD of a guy, entitled "Wizard People, Dear Reader." Apparantly you mus play it while watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Sone while the volume is off. Essentially dubbing over the movie. He says it's hilarious. We must try it.

As far as the climbing went, I did two or three new climbs, so I was feeling great. It's a lot better to have someone else there to motivate you. Otherwise you leave too early. Man, I must go there more often. Those guys are fun.

Now I'm back. I must throw another load in and start studying for my Chem final, which is less than 12 hours away. All nighter?

First Final

I woke up today from an uneasy sleep at 9:00. I hit the alarm. Every eight minutes after that, I woke again, until 9:32, when I reset my alarm for 10. Perhaps that was a bad idea, as I learned later that I needed that extra hour of studying.

I did my practice final, sort of understanding it. I ate lunch, then went through my notes until 1:10, when I headed over to 1100 Social Sciences and Humanities, affectionately known as "The Death Star."

The Death Star is actually pretty cool. It's modern and urban, so this big lecture hall is made out of cement and metal, kind of looking like an artist was given permission to build the hall, but only allowed the supplies of a prison. It's neat. It felt like it would be cold though.

The exam was harder than I thought it would be. Maybe I should have studied more. Or at all. It's cool though. I'm pretty sure I passed. The class.

After that, I browsed the bookstore, then went home. I've been doing nothing since.

I got a network hooked up with Patrick, then went to the Silo for dinner. It was pathetic. Nothing was open. But I didn't use one of the two swipes I had left.

I showed The Parlor to a lot of people. It's amazing. I got rehooked on Minesweeper, since I recently learned that I'm internationally ranked. How awesome is that? Now nobody can ever argue that they have less of a life than I do.

Well, I've been doing nonsensical things on the internet too long. I must go to bed.

Not Much

Blah.

I woke up around noon again. Tony got about three hours of sleep. Good for him. I didn't do a whole lot with my day.

I ate lunch. Nice and relaxed. It was actually pretty good.

I went to the bookstore with Sarah to help her get the books she needs for next quarter as well as return the books I bought. They were stocking her books, so I had her write down the titles/ISBN numbers for each of her books so we could buy them online. When we got back, I went online and purchased everything for her.

I did a lot of nothing.

At 5:45, I met Riddy in the parking lot for a little time for dinner. We went to Applebees. I got the fajitas. It was tasty.

We went to meeting. It was what I would consider small, yet still bigger than Santa Barbara. Rids and I stayed afterwards for quite some time talking to Dave.

Now I'm back. I tired studying, but I couldn't. I'm really boring. I can't help it. Blah.

Blah. I need to get to work. I feel retarded.

I got up around 1. I need to start getting to sleep earlier.

I ate lunch and arranged a racquetball match with John. Blah blah blah.

I've really been doing nothing all day.

There was a shooting near here. Not really sure what went on, but if you'd like to hear about it:

http://www.brokenbricks.com/kdvs1.wav

http://www.brokenbricks.com/kdvs2.wav

That would be Patrick Ferris, down the hall.

Think it's the first shooting at UC Davis ever. Well.

Yep. I ate dinner with Jared. My day has been really boring. Honestly, there's nothing interesting that's happened in my life. Nothing productive either. Man, I wish I sould study. Seriously. This is a problem.

A Day of Nothingness

Well, it was an odd day.

I woke up the same time Tony went to sleep. Which was around noon. He pulled an all nighter studying, while I was just really lazy. It was kind of weird. I asked him what time he got to bed last night and he said "right now."

Well, I did nothing all day. I wrote some stuff on my computer. I did one problem for math. I ate lunch. Blah blah blah.

Dinner was nice though. I ate with Hilary, Jared, and Patrick. We stayed in the DC for well over an hour, just talking. It was really fun.

After that, we went to Patrick's room for some fun music listening to, which turned into Mitch Hedberg. Fun.

I went to the ARC with Sarah. I went rock climbing by myself, which wasn't that fun. There needed to be others there, pushing me along to do other things. I barely accomplished anything.

We got back at midnight to all celebrate Jarrett's birthday. As our RA, it's his job to keep us quiet. So when Patrick got on his megaphone and announced, "CAN WE PLEASE SPEAK TO THE R.A. ON THIS FLOOR," Jarrett felt it was the last straw. He opened the door to find 40 kids in the hall, screaming "Happy Birthday" to him. It was awesome since we could violate the quiet hours rules and not get in trouble. That lasted quite some time. It was actually the most eventful part of my day. Now I'm back to boring. Bye.

Well. A bed awaits me.

Today has been fun. I actually got some work done. Granted, none of it has been for anything that will give me a grade, but it's still fun.

I woke up at 9:00 to get ready for meeting. Surprisingly, Tony got up as well. I guess he was using my alarm. It's cool. I use the randomness of his actions as my alarm sometimes too.

Brandon picked me up and we had some car troublems. We're not really sure what's up, but it has something to do with either the spark plugs, transmission, clutch, or something under the hood. We did make it to meeting though.

After a very good meeting, there was a surprise waiting for us outside. It started with a "B" and ended with a "randon's car wouldn't start." So Darren, Miguel and I pushed the car while Brandon tried to pop the clutch. Oh, the joys of doing that in slacks and ties.

On about the 5th try, we finally got going, so we all headed over to the Greenway's house for lunch. I played the piano a lot. Lunch was very good.

I guess for Christmas, they gave us kids all a jar of trail mix and a study guide for the gospel from Daryl. It's actually really cool and nicely bound.

Anyway, since I got back here, I've been doing nothing. I played the piano some more, but got yelled at since quiet hours are stupid and start at 8. So I went back to my nothingness. I edited Sarah's paper. I wrote our Christmas letter, which I think is awesome. So awesome, in fact, I think I will put it here. Read it, it's awesome.

Dear Friends and Whatnot-

Since nobody else wanted to, I volunteered to write the Christmas letter. And unlike all previous years, I'm actually writing it myself! The past year has gone by just as quickly as all other years, except for that extra day in February. There have been exciting things in all of our lives, so as the bitter college student, I will now begin to joyously tell them all to you.

I am awesome. I am now completely independent of my family, only requiring them for money, care packages, etc. At the prestigious University of California, Davis where I currently reside, things are much different than Santa Barbara, namely colder. That's probably the biggest thing I've done all year. After graduation, there was a small trip over to Europe, on tour as lead trumpet for my no-longer High School's Jazz Band. We went to Austria (Nazis), Switzerland
(pocketknives), France (cheese), Belgium (lace), and Holland (outdoor urinals). After I got home, I was getting bored of just sitting around pretending to work (and get paid for it), so I took a couple of trips up north. I went to Milltown 2 up in Washington, flew back down, then a week later, drove to Boring 2 at the top of Oregon. It was all very fun and exciting. Moving on.

Our beloved puppy Quincy managed to experience a very kinky death, involving a penny, jaundice, blood clots, biliruben's disease, water aerobics, and neon orange bandages. Out of either sympathy or pity and quite a lot of convincing to the parentals, his breeder, Cheryl
Makale, gave us two brand new puppies. I claimed Rigby ( after Eleanor Rigby) and David claimed Linus (after Linus Torvalds, of course). They are awesome.

Speaking of David, he's still as boring as ever. All he does is sit in front of his computer all day long. Mom calls him "The Phantom Child." He joined track, so now he fully believes he's better than everyone since he can run around in circles. Well, ovals. At least that requires him to get off the computer and outside. Granted, we don't ever see him out there running, but we're pretty sure he's actually doing it. Unless he's just keeping times. Digitally, of course.

I would have to say that Jayna has had the most eventful year. After spending most of her time recklessly partying, she finally managed to graduate from San Diego State University with a degree in Art, emphasis in Graphic Design. She started working at the club again, taking all of my hours, but decided to make use of the education she pretended to receive. Amazingly enough, she managed to actually get a job as a graphic designer, for TMC Communications. After getting sworn in or whatever they do there, she left for a two week trip to Bolivia with Darling Shane.

Shane-o is still awesome as well. He played host to Brad Bone this summer, which was nice since he was with us all the time but we didn't have to worry about sheltering him. Shane's been working hard though, going on "business trips" to Boston quite frequently. The biggest
trip was that one to Bolivia to see his sister and meet up with his family. I didn't go, but I heard it was fun. And apparently very picturesque. But since the two of them co-purchased a very nice camera, everything seems to be worthy of a picture. They probably have enough pictures to fill David's hard drives. Anyway, they've done some other things too, like get engaged.

Mom and Dad are pretty boring compared to us kids. Well, compared to Jayna and myself. Mom went on a Princess Cruise with all her girl siblings and mother for Grandma's somethingth birthday. Why did they have to pick "Princess"? That's sickening. Dad's been cooking a lot,
and working with teeth. Wait, that's what he always does. The two of them went to Memphis to see Holly and Tyson and go to Paris convention. Mom likes to joke about going to Paris, but I wouldn't really consider it a joke. Then Mom went to Alaska to help Brenda out with her immobile husband, but I don't think the twinnies would be any help to anybody. All I can picture is a bunch of giggling.

Well, there's my bitter interpretation on the year. If you enjoyed it, then you're very welcome. If you didn't, then David wrote it. He think's I'm awesome too.

Well.

I woke up at 1:07. I sort of jumped up, exclaiming, "Wow. I'm lazy," to which Tony replied, "Yeah, you better eat lunch before it closes." So I got dressed and such and ate lunch.

After that, I went to the bookstore with Clay and Jared to get our books for next quarter. I got my two books, and it ended up being over $40. I thought this was ridiculous, since I checked the prices and it didn't seem that high. But it was.

When I got home, I checked online and Amazon had them about $10 cheaper, new. So I ordered them from Amazon and will return these books later. So that means I should have another (third) shipment coming home. Just put it in my room with all of the other things you haven't touched since you don't go in my room.

Yawn. I didn't do a whole lot. I ate dinner. I played piano for about an hour. At 8, I played racquetball with Sarah. The ARC closed at 9. Now I've been doing nothing again. Wow. I'm boring.

Last Day o' Classes

I am completely sore. All over.

Since it was the last day of classes, most people felt somewhat obligated to go. So attendance was down more than normal. We pretty much did review in class, so it was no big deal. Said our farewells to the the professors, then left. It was fine and dandy.

I frolicked around.

After a lot of nothing, and lunch with some people in my math class (and apparantly also in my building), I decided to go bowling. Jared and I were going, then he invited his friend Matt along. I'm getting better at palming the ball. It's fun.

I went to the bookstore afterwards and got a headband for racquetball as well as a book for Jayna. Who is getting married. Just got engaged. I am utterly thrilled. This is the highlight of my life. I am jumping off the walls, completely excited.

After that, I wanted to go rock climbing, so I went with Jared at 5. It was weird, since I've never been there in the middle of the day. The guy there was Blake, not Elliot or Jacs. I did my dyno three more times, one of which I managed to scrape my leg pretty badly. It's cool though. I'm ok.

At 6:30, Brandon and Bob came and picked me up to go to somewhere in Elk Grove for a sing. It was nice. I played the piano a lot. Like... a lot. I ate a lot of food. And was weird. And I accompanied the singing. I realized why I shouldn't play in gospel meeting. I tend to get bored, so I start playing cheesy little licks and fills when people aren't singing, making the piano sound very out of place. It sure was fun though.

Afterwards, we went to the Pita Pit for dinner, at around 11:30. It was delicious.

I am extremely tired, so I am going to bed.

Friday

Okay, so it's not Friday. But it sure feels like it to me. I've caught myself wondering why I'm not hanging out with Brandon and Riddy, then realizing it's still Thursday. Tomorrow will be weird.

I woke up at 7:30, quite pointlessly, if you ask me. It turns out that since we had no lab, Shengshu had nothing to teach us. Too bad we already turned in our evaluation forms. "Poor use of time," mine would say now. But I went back to sleep quite quickly. Instead of writing my English essay.

I woke up again at 11:10, forcing myself to get some English done. I did a bit, not really writing, just reorganizing and making it coherent. Then I went to lunch alone. It was sad, since late last night, I was procrastinating and read the California Aggie online, so I only reread everything today. But it was cool.

Back in my room, I finished the essay to meet my somewhat satisfactory goals. I printed it out, then went to English.

For once, the class did not make fun of my Uggs. Maybe because I wasn't wearing them. The weather has actually been pretty nice today.

We handed in our essays, then got to work on our final. It was a short story about a hand. Well, the hand that was attached to a man. It was actually about his wife though. And how she felt about his hand. And then I found twenty dollars.

C. Kiefer graded my paper right there, a 10/10 if I read correctly. He then asked to have a copy to send to the publishers and to Norman Dubie himself. So I emailed him one later. I wonder what will happen.

I did a bunch of nonsensical things after that, none of which matter. At 9, Doug and I headed to our racquetball reservation, where we met up with Jared, Matt, and Dan. It turns out they didn't get a court, so we played doubles, alternating in a player. That was intense.

After the hour was up, we all went rock climbing. Since everyone else likes to top climb, I just went bouldering by myself, meeting some new and old people. I'm actually really glad I did that. I watched Elliot put up a few dynos, and saw everybody attempt them. The prize for getting one of them was to name it, and the only guy that got it won. After a while, when all the really good climbers left, Andrew and I started attempting things. He's pretty good, about the same level as me. So we tried this new dyno, and it's actually not that bad. I was really close for a while, but my fingers started burning. So I took a break then tried again. You have
no idea the feeling you get when you complete a dyno. It is utterly amazing. I simply couldn't stop there. I started doing my familiar V1, except taking off a majority of the holds. I've got it down to just three holds and a feature, the rest smears. Then I did the dyno again. Man, I love rock climbing. Those other guys played basketball and missed out.

Now I'm here. I can't feel my fingers, but it's worth it. The hot water of a shower will kill me, but it's worth it. I completed a dyno.

A Day

All right, my friends, let's make this quick. I have a paper due tomorrow that I was very relaxed on the rough draft.

Chem lecture. Stayed awake.

Right after, I went to the bookstore to finish up some Christmas shopping. That took a while.

I went home, got my stuff, then went to math. We got to evaluate Professor Hass. How exciting. We also learned.

I then biked over to the Music building. I was really early. We played through some stuff, including the nearly impossible Toccata und Fuge en d-moll. Fun. After that, I sat talking to Kenta and Randy for 45 minutes or so, too lazy to get on my bike and eat. But then I got on my bike and went to the DC.

Lunch was good. It was right before they closed, so nobody was there. I had a nice quiet time with my California Aggie.

After that, I took a nap. It was a nice nap. I woke up around a quarter to six, then had to get readjusted to living. I went to dinner with Adam and some of his Jewish friends. It was fun.

I went to meeting with Brandon and Bob, since he's in town for the week. Afterwards, we had to take him bowling. I'm starting to get the hang of palming the ball. Must go more often.

Now I'm here. Ok bye.

Relief, Yet Not Really

Well, not feeling all that great right now. Most of the day has been better though. Read this:

I woke up at 9:30, then went to my improv class. It was pretty good. Our fake final project was to pick any song and transcribe part of it, then play it in front of the class. I just notated mine, I didn't memorize it. But that went fine. It was all cool. It's odd to think that that was our last time meeting. Well, it will be most of the same people for next term, so that's cool.

From there, I went back to the dorms to work on my paper that was due at two. Well, rough draft. So I kind of jumbled a bunch of words together, then ate lunch, then put some more words on it, then went to English.

Class was pretty great. Amber and I got into a fight, since she was making fun of my Uggs, so I made fun of her masculinity. She's on crew, to give an example. She's strong. It was fun. Didn't really do a whole lot though. At the end of class, we lined up to check our grades, and when it got to me, he just laughed at me and said, "you know what you're getting." So I take it that's a good thing. I didn't realize I was doing that well in the class. Oh well. Not a bad thing.

Well, after that, I went and did some shopping online. Just a spending more money. After I got everything nice and finalized, I realized that the holidays might delay shipping time, so I had everything shipped home. That involved cancelling all the orders and reordering everything. So it's cool. And if you see the packaged come to the door, just throw them in my room and cover them with a blanket or something so it doesn't ruin the surprise for you. There will be two boxes coming.

I did some math then ate dinner. It was a winter theme tonight, meaning decent food. They had some nice meat with horseradish, although it was very weak. They also had a salad with walnuts and cranberries which was mighty fine. All in all, it was good.

I went to Jared and Chris for our weekly checking of homework. Chris was busy, so Jared and I waited for him right outside his door. This bugged him, so he got his stuff and the three of us sat on the floor in the hall, doing math. At 7, I went to discussion.

It was actually pretty great. We got to fill out evaluation forms on Rick Daner, Math Extraorinaire. Everybody gave him positive markings. He's awesome. We learned math.

In such a great mood from math, I decided to go to the rock wall. It's so much nicer now that you have to pay and all the stupid people aren't there. I've actually managed to complete the V2 I couldn't the first day, called "spiderme this" or something to that effect. It's nice, since there are some familiar faces I see every time. I really need my own shoes and chalk bag though. It's a hassle to have to hike over to the poop bag because of sweaty fingers. Also, there was a guy there who looked an awful lot like Matt Baboye. He saw me too. But neither of us wanted to approach each other, so we kept on giving each other sideways glances. Finally, as I was walking around him, he started loudly talking about high school and teachers he had. As I was moving to another climb, he nearly yelled, "...because I'm Matt Baboye. I went to Monte Vista Elementary School." I turned around immediately and we had a chat. Good times.

Two hours later, I returned to my hole in the wall. And aside from a little nonsense, here I remain. I ought to get to my business now. Barf.

A Long Day of Procrastination

Man, I'm a terrible person. I can't seem to get myself to start this paper that's due tomorrow.

I woke up tired. Which should mean that I will go to bed early. I probably won't. I had a hard time paying attention in Chem and Math. I didn't have trouble staying awake, just keeping focused on the nonsense we're learning. My mind tends to wander. Wandrin'.

After math, I went to lunch with Doug, but he was having some problems with Aziza, so he was obligated to sit with her and work things out. So I ate lunch with my California Aggie. The elected senators have yet to take their places still, due to the illegal campaigning in the residence halls. It was a nice article.

After attempting my Chem write up, I went to 3rd floor of Dutton Hall, Studen Judicial Affairs. I like Dutton. It's a nice building. Anyway, I went and spoke to Don Dudley, who was investigating the campaign allegations. I basically told him everything that happened. So it was cool. He was a nice gentleman. I left, into the cold.

I then finished my lab with time to spare, so I worked on my piracy skills instead of my essay. I also had to inform Jaime that she was called a "Georgia Chickadee." As I biked to the Chem ab, it started drizzling. So sad.

The Chem lab was great. We got to fill out Shengshu's evaluation form, where when it asked his strengths I put, "overall awesomeness." Great guy, Shengshu. Too bad nobody can understand him. We cleaned our lab materials and took our goggles home. The goggles are great. And blue.

After that, I played on the computer, not writing an essay. Which makes me really mad now. I ate dinner, helped Doug select a tie from my box, blah blah blah. I talked to Amy for about 12 minutes. And I sent a letter with a check worth several thousand dollars. What a day it hasn't been. I must go and pretend to write an essay.

What a weird mood I am in.

Today was actually pretty great. The worst part was actually spending most of the time uncomfortably full from such great food. Let's start from the top. I really need to soak my hands in some hot water. My typing is seriously slow right now.

Got up and dressed. I wore the tie the Cobbs gave me for graduation. I must wear that tie more often. Stain protection and awesome looks. Must get it out. Now if it was a bow tie...

I met Brandon at 9:35. For the second time in a row, he stalled getting out of the parking lot. He's still on his learner's permit.

Meeting wasn't that far away. It was nice though. The Johnsons were there, plus some other Sac gals we knew, so it wasn't completely strange faces. Grandma wasn't there, but I think she was at a craft show or something to that effect. So we met her for lunch.

She gave us directions and all to a restaurant called "Fat's." Now, when I thought of a place like that, I was picturing greasy greasy burgers, with a mustard yellow, ketchup red, and mayonaise white color theme. When we arrived, I was completely surprised. The place is seriously a Sacramento version of PF Chang's. And the quality of food is the same. It's actually an "Asian Bistro and Dim Sum," but I had a hard time buying the dim sum part. I mean, there were no people dim summing it up. But it was still very good. For Dad: Orange Chicken, Orange Beef, and Teriyaki Salmon. It was awesome. The interior had the same contemporary style as PF Chang's too. Definitely a place to go when someone visits. Worth writing home about.

After lunch, we parted ways, since Brandon and I decided that it would be better if we just went to the Elk Grove gospel meeting instead of our original intended meeting, since not only is it closer, but earlier. That meant we could get an hour plus extra to study. Or in my case, find things to do that take away from studying. Such as writing a blog.

So on our way to Elk Grove, since we were over an hour early, we decided to call up Russell and see if he wanted to hang out for a while. We went over to his place, where Emily, Kara, and Miranda were. Funny gals. Russell has a very manly place. Rustic and quaint. It seems pretty Russell.

We went to meeting. Harold, as usual, screwed up the children's questions by skipping the letter L. He tends to do things like that. A lot. Anyway, I thought it was funny how Harold was telling a story about a girl that came to visit his nephew a month or two ago. He called her a "Georgia Chickadee." How utterly Harold. Anyway, it turns out I know her, so I thought it was hilarous. Ha ha Harold.

After gospel meeting, we were invited over to Emily and Dawnita's place, where we had breakfast. Brandon was very hesitant, since we did decline Grandma's offer to stay longer, but he gave in because he's a pushover when it comes to peer pressure. Doesn't bother me any, It's not like I'm going to study.

Another quaint little house. It turns out it's one of Darren's houses that he's working on. How fun. I played the piano. There were a bunch of friendly people there. Most of Russell's family was there. Which keeps growing to me as time progressess. How weird. We ate pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausages, and orange juice. Except I declined the orange juice because it doesn't settle well in my stomach. It was good.

When I got back to the dorms, I did my laundry. Oh, how fun. I'm sure I did a bunch of things, mostly non homework related things. I got some more music. I attempted to teach Shannon how to play the Love Theme to Romeo and Juliet. She was getting the melody line down. I laughed quite a bit when Patrick and Chad were on their prank pedestol again. The airsoft gun was in play. Rachel and Shannon were having massive crazy dance parties, just the two of them, in their room. Something I can never picture Tony and I even thinking about. It was hilarious though. Patrick is really mad at Halah right now for taking his 12 string guitar around the hall, playing it, going outside, then lying to him about it. And she doesn't seem to understand why he's so mad. Then he explained that it's a musician thing. So he asked me what would happen if someone took my trumpet without asking and started playing it. I just laughed at him and told him that they would no longer be able to take my trumpet and play it. And he completed my thought by saying, "because you would have cut off their hands." Exactly. I understand, Patrick. I understand.

Well, there's a Chem lab that's just sitting here. And at 2 tomorrow, I have a meeting with some SJA guy about the campaigning. Just doing my part here for the sake of ol' UCD. I'm out to the shower.

Satursaturday

It's late, so I'll keep this short.

I got a nice 11+ hours of sleep last night... amazing. Since I woke up so late, I missed breakfast and lunch, so I snacked. Most of my persimmons are gone, sadly. I must get more. From the magical grandma store.

Played piano, blah blah blah. I was so bored, I actually put gel in my hair today. I'm wearing my euro shirt and jeans. I'm looking as metrosexual as I ever have. Weird. Maybe it's because I've been hanging out with Brandon.

Speaking of Brandon, after dinner, I went to the men's basketball game with him and his roommates. It was break the record night, which sadly we did not break. But we still got free scrubs shirts that say "UC Davis Health Services" on them. About 5,000 people got them though.

After that, I was cold. We did a bunch of other things, none of them interesting. I watched Patrick chase Ryan with an airsoft gun, which frightens me. He and Chad had a fun time shooting Andrew in the shower, taking away his towel, and throwing water balloons after he got out. Interesting.

My day has been pretty much just that. And I'm tired, so I'm out.

Boring (not the convention)

Tired. Yup, as usual.

There hasn't really been much going on in my day. Aside from the usual class, where nothing of note happened, and the eating at the DC, where I sat alone, there hasn't been much going on. I've spent a lot of time on my computer, just searching stuff online. Things of note: Creative Zen Touch (40GB) to be released soon, Creative TravelSound 300i speakers, and books, books, books. I've been putting a lot of books in a reserved section of my account to review later when I'm not in such a buying mood. Online shopping is plusgood. Sure beats the lines at Christmastime.

I went to the ARC before dinner, but because today is the last day before they start charging for rock climbing, everybody and their mother was there. And most of them were people who just want to try it out before they have to pay, so they're all trying to learn how to tie the knots and stuff. Not only that, but since there were so many people there, I had to get 2 shoe sizes too big. The only other option was 3 shoe sizes too small, so I went larger. At least I could get into those. Bah. Just go home. But I did play racquetball beforehand, so it was good. Awesome. I saw a very good rock climbing guy playing squash, so I waved to him.

I've been pretty bored, if you couldn't tell. So bored, in fact, I spent half an hour in the bathroom, trying combinations on someone's lock until it opened. Luckily, I didn't have to go through about half of them. But it actually wasn't that bad. Now I have complete access to someone's toothbrush, shampoo, razor...

I played trumpet.

I watched a whole bunch of drunk people yell at each other and sing along with music, turning it into more of a chant. I've been on the computer way too much. I must go.

Nothing

Argh. I just wrote a beautifully crafted post and it got deleted because some link popped up and i continued typing all over my beautifully crafted post. I hate when that happens. So I will try and remember the beauty of my email. There's no way I can sit through my day for a third time though. So here is the Cliff's Notes version.

Chem lecture. Nobody understood anything.

Slept for three more hours.

Read for English.

Ate lunch with Amy.

Went to English. Got harassed for wearing Uggs. Nobody else read the play. Filled out evaluation forms after being coached by C. Kiefer.

Went to the bookstore for a 19 cent blue book.

Left the bookstore with $27 worth of stuff.

Ate dinner alone. This paragraph was beautiful, detailing my obsession with eating alone. I'm sad that this is gone. I don't like waiting for people to eat, especially groups. Eating with one other person is awkward because you can't carry on a conversation and eat without long silences. I like the California Aggie. I get too involved with it though. I have an interview with Student Judicial Affairs tomorrow regarding the campaigning in the halls.

I got a surprise package from Grandma Lee. It was as delicious as I expected. I must write her a thank you note.

Bah. I did nothing after that. I was going to go to the ARC with Jared, but got sidetracked by nothing. I played trumpet with Patrick's guitar.

Bah.

Racquetball Hurts Me

My arm hurts.

My day has been long. Chem and math were both chemmy and mathy. I brought my trumpet to math so I could bike right over to trumpet ensemble. Sadly, Scott was sick so there was no rehearsal. That meant that I was there for nothing. Being a cute little freshman, I felt it was my obligation to stay the right amount of time, in the event something miraculous happened. Nothing did, so I left at 1.

Lunch was pretty good. They had a really good toasted sandwich. Mmmmm.

I pretty much did nothing after that. I took a nap. Tony walked in, but I don't think he noticed me for a while. Doesn't matter. He's still awesome.

After dinner, Brandon picked me up and we caught up on life while driving to meeting. Lily was there. It was nice to be reminded who speaks at the gospel meeting we're supposed to be going to.

Since we do have a tradition to uphold, Riddy and I did our best to get Brandon to go bowling, but to no avail. Instead, we went to In-N-Out, Riddy's restaurant of choice. It was fun catching up on the week of each other's lives we missed. It would be really fun to live with the two next year.

When I got back, I was going to go to the ARC to climb rocks. But instead, I found a note on my door to play racquetball instead. So I went with Joe.

We couldn't get a court until 11, so we just walked around until then. I hadn't played in a while, so I was using horrible technique, swinging way too hard. Now my arm hurts because of it. I must go to bed. I have class early tomorrow.
